Under the aegis of NTPC Education and Research Society (NEARS), NTPC School of Business works towards the goal of a pioneer in energy management through human capacity generation and research devoted to the field of energy management. Equipped with a state of the art campus the institute currently runs two programs- Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-E) and Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Management (PGDM-EM). The AICTE approved courses are oriented towards training and research enrichment in the field of energy sector in India. The institute also focuses on cutting edge research and consultancy through its various centers of excellence such as Center for Energy innovations Center for Energy Environment and Center for Research and innovation.

Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran

Director, NTPC School Of Business

Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran is Ph.D. in Management & MBA as well as Andrew Towl Scholar- Harvard Business School (GloColl and CWW), Boston, USA & FDP IIM-A 2009. Formerly she was a Professor and Head (Bus. Admin) and Director of MHRM, M L Sukhadia University Udaipur. She had also led the Academy of HRD Ahmedabad as its Director and played a key role in the research program.

She is also a visiting Professor at IIM Udaipur, IIM Ahmedabad, and many universities across the globe. She has delivered lectures and training at Harvard Business School as well.

She has the distinction of being the first woman to be elected in any professional body in HR & Management across Asia. She has won many awards and accolades at the national and international levels. She is a Board member of the Pravasi Legal Aid Cell for gulf countries for supporting the working people of India abroad for rehabilitation, rights, dignity, safety, compensation, empowerment, and mental moral support in distress etc. She was awarded as Super Achiever Award for women in HRD research and development for her 25 years of contribution in the World HRD Congress. She received the “Global Award for Women making the world a better place to live” in Thailand in June 2018, Life time achievement by MS University Baroda in their Diamond Jubilee.

She is Board member of Association of Global Business, Research, and Practice, USA which represents B Schools of 119 Universities from across the globe. As a Psycho Dynamic Analyst, helping Indian Public sector giants corporate like BOB, NTPC, DGH, Ministry of Petroleum, Accenture, Reserve Bank of India, Cochin Shipyard, NCFE, PGCL, Punjab National Bank, CII, Rubamin, RCFL, etc to hire and promote leadership pipeline and Training. She has also established the first Behavioral lab in any University in India.

She is on the advisory editorial board of the International Journal of HRD Practice Policy and Research, UK; ECNR, Canada and former Chief Editor of IJTD.

This has clearly brought additional responsibility for the energy professional. To match the ever-increasing need for energy, a specialized workforce is required which can serve the sector rationally.
