NLC India launches NIGEL, aims for 6 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030

NLC Energy News 23 Oct 2023 – NLC India Limited, a Navratna central public sector undertaking supervised by the Ministry of Coal, has announced the establishment of its wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Green Energy Limited (NIGEL). This strategic move is dedicated to leading the charge in all renewable energy (RE) endeavors. During NIGEL’s inaugural board meeting, critical executive appointments were approved, and the company’s logo was officially adopted. The Chairman of NIGEL, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, emphasized that the new subsidiary, geared towards renewable energy projects, is poised to accelerate the growth of RE power generation capacity.
